I had to leave off the alphabet since the piece of fabric that I used wasn't quite big enough. I've decided that she will be my first self-framing adventure.<br />

<br />
<div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpU5894YTGd5Qgf_SPBju7QP8KN9ItmxYDYT61QFPeO5NBBY__uvXiLWF42J6om2iKmwxtfy8MgAyLpKuCoo7JgIyp2IeVSwQJGE-Cq-t2sdkt098JfSlbCQxru2FBFSUbL2-jcSKQa6I/s1600/=_utf-8_B_SU1HMDAwMDMtMjAxMDAzMDYtMjMwMy5qcGc=_=-754020.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: right; cssfloat: right; float: right; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-left: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjpU5894YTGd5Qgf_SPBju7QP8KN9ItmxYDYT61QFPeO5NBBY__uvXiLWF42J6om2iKmwxtfy8MgAyLpKuCoo7JgIyp2IeVSwQJGE-Cq-t2sdkt098JfSlbCQxru2FBFSUbL2-jcSKQa6I/s320/=_utf-8_B_SU1HMDAwMDMtMjAxMDAzMDYtMjMwMy5qcGc=_=-754020.jpg" width="240" /></a>After seeing this piece on a fellow blogger's site, I immediately fell in love with it. I finally got the notion to purchase my pattern. I started this piece on February 28, 2010. My version is on 40ct Vintage Meadow Rue by Lakeside Linen. I am a silk snob (sorry DMC users!) so I changed the colors to Belle Soie's Rose of Sharon, Chocolat, Elegant Eggplant and Fern Frond. I'm not too sure about the Fern Frond, but it is growing on me.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Normally I'm a pretty fast stitcher, but this is my busy time of year at work. So, I lack for stitching time on most nights. Here is where I stopped on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of March with a good dash of time thrown in on the 16th as well......</div><div class="separator" style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMKiz9VQfxfELLOUWQRXp7ZNFV22epFId4xjo5zoebv0Gjl2V97bbis-_jlAYBocj_3xLJlEt7P-4G8-zn6SHAbFV5QomdULywmGzUFYx9b8UR15Vno3bUwdPz6lU6wpoH2Bv-UFUqm6Q/s1600/DSCN0797%5B1%5D.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" nt="true" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMKiz9VQfxfELLOUWQRXp7ZNFV22epFId4xjo5zoebv0Gjl2V97bbis-_jlAYBocj_3xLJlEt7P-4G8-zn6SHAbFV5QomdULywmGzUFYx9b8UR15Vno3bUwdPz6lU6wpoH2Bv-UFUqm6Q/s320/DSCN0797%5B1%5D.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">Of course, in the craziness of my busy season I didn't realize that the piece of fabric I chose wasn't big enough. I hate it when that happens! So, I decided to leave off the alphabet on the bottom. I guess it just wasn't meant to be!</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />
</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;">I didn't get much in this weekend, but I'm planning on taking off a little early tonight to that I can put needle to fabric. I tend to get a little grumpy when I can't stitch! Hopefully after tonight <strong><em>My Lady</em></strong> will be a little farther than it is right now.</div><div style="border-bottom: medium none; border-left: medium none; border-right: medium none; border-top: medium none; clear: both; text-align: left;"><br />

I'm really happy with how she turned out. I've decided not to stitch the Gentleman for now as I started 'Quakers & Quilts' this week-end. Thanks Petra & Amy for organizing this SAL, this was a great design. Mine was stitched on 40-ct Lakeside Linen with Needlepoint Silks.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/Su-ujIa51dI/AAAAAAAABUE/MScm71hc0jk/s1600-h/My+Quaker+Lady+finsihed.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5399726396819494354" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 394px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 400px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/Su-ujIa51dI/AAAAAAAABUE/MScm71hc0jk/s400/My+Quaker+Lady+finsihed.jpg" border="0" /></a> </div>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8968221273539066498.post-81448964196417304762009-10-28T09:49:00.003-04:002009-10-28T09:52:38.121-04:00Comming Along Slowly<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBTR9xIxptlkEDLLU1DWoezr3iG_UKw8qRBnl4ZfT38NDQSuTD_iOxBuZ7K6eqz_E1L03qBjwJgrNsrBqW5RDhwtn3JrPZWLXLwc7u-AG8wpXo3b0RjjrEqwSRwhyYguQBWMe6jrp9MIU/s1600-h/DSCN3760.JPG"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 200px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 183px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397648310101289282" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjBTR9xIxptlkEDLLU1DWoezr3iG_UKw8qRBnl4ZfT38NDQSuTD_iOxBuZ7K6eqz_E1L03qBjwJgrNsrBqW5RDhwtn3JrPZWLXLwc7u-AG8wpXo3b0RjjrEqwSRwhyYguQBWMe6jrp9MIU/s200/DSCN3760.JPG" /></a><br /><div>Here is how far I am on MLQ. I just have one more small motif to do near the lady's feet and then I'm doing all the alphabet rows. Hoping to get it done this week as I want to start something new on Nov 1st. My lighting is not the best - taken at night. :)<br /></div><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/SuhEJWvsqPI/AAAAAAAABSQ/C8wat3ERtl0/s1600-h/10-27-09+progress+2.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5397639080918690034" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 304px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/SuhEJWvsqPI/AAAAAAAABSQ/C8wat3ERtl0/s400/10-27-09+progress+2.jpg" border="0" /></a>Unknownnoreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8968221273539066498.post-83385856323645406782009-10-20T13:36:00.000-04:002009-10-20T13:36:54.004-04:00Mystery SolvedAfter a morning of playing "Sherlock Holmes," I figured out the mystery "brown."<br />
<br />
It is DMC 420, yay!<br />
<br />
I am back in stitches and rolling along once again.<br />
<br />
Thanks for listening, and sorry for the interruption!Unknownnoreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8968221273539066498.post-78269054712116705272009-10-20T10:03:00.002-04:002009-10-20T13:37:49.109-04:00Whoa NellyWel, l I am proud to say that I am 3/4 of the way finished with the Gentleman, however a bit of a tragedy has befallen him, well me, I ran out of my "brown" and cannot find where I wrote down the DMC color! I have searched everywhere, and sadly as I recalled posting my color list here, I changed them along the way and never noted the new numbers. I even made the choice to purchase my floss at Michael's instead of online so I don't even have a record of the purchase, oh dearie me!<br />
<br />
How do you all keep track of your project history, such as the fiber and floss that you use along with a certain pattern?<br />
<br />
I know I will figure out the missing color as I have narrowed it down, but for the time being my stomach knot has tightened.<br />
<br />
On a happy note, I must say that everyone's progress and finishes are fantastic! You are all so very talented, and you all inspire me :)<br />
<br />
Sorry for the rant, I hope no one minds, but I figured you all would be able to relate :)Unknownnoreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8968221273539066498.post-20672972622318903502009-10-12T18:51:00.004-04:002009-10-12T18:58:12.302-04:00My Lady is finished..I finish her a couple days ago. I started in mid-September but I was concentrating on finishing my Beatrix Potter Quaker sampler by end of September so I didn't have much time for my poor Quaker Lady. I am trying to make more progress now. I can't believe how fast some of you have finished this project - I have so many projects going I am like a bee going from flower to flower LOL. I am stitching this on 40-ct linen and I seem to be slower stitching on it as I have to be more careful placing my stitches for some reason. </div><div></div><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/Ss94cB86iII/AAAAAAAABPo/aZywvhxouX0/s1600-h/My+Quaker+Lady+start.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5390659701941373058" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 318px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/__VcND6qMjTY/Ss94cB86iII/AAAAAAAABPo/aZywvhxouX0/s320/My+Quaker+Lady+start.JPG" border="0" /></a>I am loving seeing all of the other color combinations you all have been stitching.
