My Quaker Lady framed :)

Not sure if anyone out there is still stitching away on these designs but I recently got my Quaker Lady framed - I'm very happy with her! This was such a fun piece to stitch.

Grand Finish

I finished her up on Easter Sunday.  I had to leave off the alphabet since the piece of fabric that I used wasn't quite big enough.  I've decided that she will be my first self-framing adventure.

Thanks for looking!

My Version

First of all, I would like to thank you for letting me join this blog in order to share my version of My Lady's Quaker.

After seeing this piece on a fellow blogger's site, I immediately fell in love with it.  I finally got the notion to purchase my pattern.  I started this piece on February 28, 2010.  My version is on 40ct Vintage Meadow Rue by Lakeside Linen.  I am a silk snob (sorry DMC users!) so I changed the colors to Belle Soie's Rose of Sharon, Chocolat, Elegant Eggplant and Fern Frond.  I'm not too sure about the Fern Frond, but it is growing on me.

Normally I'm a pretty fast stitcher, but this is my busy time of year at work.  So, I lack for stitching time on most nights.  Here is where I stopped on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of March with a good dash of time thrown in on the 16th as well......

Of course, in the craziness of my busy season I didn't realize that the piece of fabric I chose wasn't big enough.  I hate it when that happens!  So, I decided to leave off the alphabet on the bottom.  I guess it just wasn't meant to be!

I didn't get much in this weekend, but I'm planning on taking off a little early tonight to that I can put needle to fabric.  I tend to get a little grumpy when I can't stitch!  Hopefully after tonight My Lady will be a little farther than it is right now.

Thank you so much for letting me share.  I would love to have you come visit me on my blog.  Come sit and stitch a spell with me!

Happy Stitching!

Newbie - Hi!

Thanks to Amy for the invite! I'm anxious to begin my Quaker Lady & Gentleman.
I have my charts and fabric. All I need to do is make a decision on the floss colors I want to use.
Everyone has such beautiful stitching!
