After seeing this piece on a fellow blogger's site, I immediately fell in love with it. I finally got the notion to purchase my pattern. I started this piece on February 28, 2010. My version is on 40ct Vintage Meadow Rue by Lakeside Linen. I am a silk snob (sorry DMC users!) so I changed the colors to Belle Soie's Rose of Sharon, Chocolat, Elegant Eggplant and Fern Frond. I'm not too sure about the Fern Frond, but it is growing on me.Normally I'm a pretty fast stitcher, but this is my busy time of year at work. So, I lack for stitching time on most nights. Here is where I stopped on the weekend of the 13th and 14th of March with a good dash of time thrown in on the 16th as well......
Of course, in the craziness of my busy season I didn't realize that the piece of fabric I chose wasn't big enough. I hate it when that happens! So, I decided to leave off the alphabet on the bottom. I guess it just wasn't meant to be!
I didn't get much in this weekend, but I'm planning on taking off a little early tonight to that I can put needle to fabric. I tend to get a little grumpy when I can't stitch! Hopefully after tonight My Lady will be a little farther than it is right now.
