Newbie - Hi!

Thanks to Amy for the invite! I'm anxious to begin my Quaker Lady & Gentleman.
I have my charts and fabric. All I need to do is make a decision on the floss colors I want to use.

My Lady's Quaker finish....

"My Lady's Quaker"--Jardin Privé
Stitched on 28 ct. evenweave & DMC 930/932

I decided I needed to finish this before the year end and spent the last two days stitching. I decided to leave the alphabet off...just couldn't stitch anymore. I lost interest in the piece I thing because of all the unintentional "alterations" I made to the original design (i.e. mistakes I was too lazy to rip out!) I do like the end result with the colors and hope to hang in my bedroom once framed.

I'm Back To It!

Well it is Christmas Eve and I am back to working on mine! lol I had to put it down while I worked on a few exchanges. I am all caught up with them for now so I started back last night.

I had to come onto the blog to see what colors I was using as I forgot to write them down :(

Love the ones I see are finished! All of you have done a wonderful job!!
I also see a few of you are in the same boat as me so I don't feel so bad for letting it go for awhile. Hopefully I can get alot done before I start on a few more exchanges.
What can I say I love doing exchanges :)

I will be restarting mine in January

I had started mine and just wasn't liking the color combination as much on the fabric as they looked together off of the fabric. I really like how Irma's turned out with the Belle Soie colors. I picked up the 3 colors and will re-start in January.

Finally have a little progress

I finally have some progress to show you. This is a fun pattern to stitch and I am enjoying the colors I have chosen. Love seeing everyone's progress and different color and fabric choices.

Another finish!

I finished my Lady last Friday. I'm really happy with how she turned out. I've decided not to stitch the Gentleman for now as I started 'Quakers & Quilts' this week-end. Thanks Petra & Amy for organizing this SAL, this was a great design. Mine was stitched on 40-ct Lakeside Linen with Needlepoint Silks.

Comming Along Slowly

Here is how far I am on MLQ. I've been stitching alot of exchanges lately so I have only been working on her here and there.

I love seeing how far the rest of you are on her and also the ones that finished her and moving onto the Gentelman's Quaker. Beautiful work everyone!

My latest progress - getting there!

Thought I'd post a picture of where I'm at. I just have one more small motif to do near the lady's feet and then I'm doing all the alphabet rows. Hoping to get it done this week as I want to start something new on Nov 1st. My lighting is not the best - taken at night. :)

Mystery Solved

After a morning of playing "Sherlock Holmes," I figured out the mystery "brown."

It is DMC 420, yay!

I am back in stitches and rolling along once again.

Whoa Nelly

Wel, l I am proud to say that I am 3/4 of the way finished with the Gentleman, however a bit of a tragedy has befallen him, well me, I ran out of my "brown" and cannot find where I wrote down the DMC color! I have searched everywhere, and sadly as I recalled posting my color list here, I changed them along the way and never noted the new numbers. I even made the choice to purchase my floss at Michael's instead of online so I don't even have a record of the purchase, oh dearie me!

How do you all keep track of your project history, such as the fiber and floss that you use along with a certain pattern?

I know I will figure out the missing color as I have narrowed it down, but for the time being my stomach knot has tightened.

On a happy note, I must say that everyone's progress and finishes are fantastic! You are all so very talented, and you all inspire me :)

Sorry for the rant, I hope no one minds, but I figured you all would be able to relate :)

My Lady is finished..

I finish her a couple days ago. Now to get her framed up. The Gentleman will have to wait for a little while.

Finished!

I got My Lady's Quaker finished last night! I'm very happy with how it turned out!

I ended up changing the skin color again - three times a charm right? I went with NPI 202. For a list of the other colors I used click on my name below and that will take you to my other posts. I had fun stitching along with you all! I don't plan to stitch the gentleman, so it looks like I'm done with the SAL. Good luck to all of you! :)
